The long-awaited release of the Rainbow Reader mini pendants has finally arrived. This month has scampered away from me a little, with birthdays and school-end celebrations sneaking up on us. But I am finally out of the weeds, and ready to share the little guys with everyone else!
Originally intended for the Indie Pickup | 1980s month, this is the little sister to the Rainbow Reader Pendant. I was inspired to create this lovely, swirling pendant by the classic 1980s television show, Reading Rainbow and by my nearly life-long crush on Levar Burton.
Features:
• 10x25mm shiny silver bezel with a one-of-a-kind, hand painted glass cabochon
• 20in sterling silver plate snake chain
• comes in a cardboard jewelry box, perfect for gifting

To celebrate and encourage reading, bookworms, and the spirit of the show I have decided that $1 of every necklace sold will be donated to Little Free Library. This is a small time, accessible library that almost anyone can set up in their own neighborhood. I am currently trying to figure out a way to get my HOA to agree to one in my neighborhood. I will also be matching the donation with my own funds, so ideally we are hoping to donate $30. It isn't huge, but every little bit helps.
From their site:
»How will my donation be used? Your donation supports Little Free Library’s mission and programs. Your gift will help us provide no-cost Libraries through our Impact Library Program; encourage good reads and good deeds through the Action Book Club; heal community divisions through Kids, Community & Cops; and expand the Little Free Library book-sharing movement worldwide!
Each necklace will be made to order, and as such I may exceed my quoted turn-around-time. I will notify you via Esty Conversation if there is a delay.
Because I am trying to raise money for a charity, this listing is exempt from any coupon codes.
There will be 15 pendants total, and they'll be available in the Etsy shop until they sell out. I hope you can bring one home!
